Oh, there is a removal tool? Mine just has two prongs sticking out of the mounting base that snaps into the alarm. I just use a flat head screwdriver to remove mine.

What does the removal tool look like? I may have it, but just be overlooking it.
You had posted it in "Media" under the "Commercial Fire Alarms" category. That forum is for videos that you did not make.

Hhmm, I don't remember seeing that. I wish I would have had it before I broke one of the prongs off of my wall mount Exceder, lol. Luckily I still have the screw to secure the strobe against the mounting plate.

Yes, there is a small unpainted silver screw that is inserted into a spot at the top of the alarm to hold the alarm against the plate. You have to make the hole yourself, unfortunately. The ceiling mount models have a painted screw, and the hole is already there. I guess the screw for the wall mount models is optional since they have the two prongs at the top.

Look at where the arrow is pointing in the image below, that is where the screw goes.

And part of the mounting plate at the top sticks out directly behind that hole, so the screw can go into the mounting plate.
It kind of reminds me of the SpectrAlert Advanced.

The ceiling mount models have the same mounting plate, and if the mounting screws are too tight, the plate can bend, and the alarm won't slide onto the base very well.

The ceiling mount ones slide, and the wall mount ones snap. I don't like the snap ones, either.

I think it's the same base as the wall mount alarm. The backs of the alarms are just different...

Re: System Test 9 On The Phone With Computertech24
Haha, well the ceiling mount devices are larger than the wall mount devices, so the mounting plate will fit on them. It's like the universal mounting plate for SpectrAlert Advanced's.
